Michael Pantano
I build the whole chain: the hardware, the firmware that runs it, and the software that carries the data off it.
So far that has meant a drilling rig, a pulsed power lab, and a satellite ground station. Different problems, same job each time: getting something physical into a form software can act on. RF and analog design is where I want to do that next.

Engineering Intern
Three summers at a geothermal drilling startup. This past summer, I built two systems now in use: an inline pressure and flow instrument, and a cellular gateway that keeps borehole sensor data online with no network on site.

Engineering Intern
My first summer in pulsed power and RF. I worked on the electronics side: circuit simulation, high-voltage switching hardware, control electronics, and lab measurement.

Communications Engineer
My second year on the CubeSat team. My first year I picked the UHF power amplifier and ran RF chain power analysis. This year I am working on an autonomous UHF and S-band satellite ground station: antennas, rotator, RF front end, and control software.
